A detailed Executive Summary is generated or every Forecast or Simulation that is ran in Levers. Summaries are a powerful way to organize notes and log metrics changes or expectations within a Simulation. Executive Summaries can be used for strategy execution, management reporting, executive planning.
Adding Annotations to Forecasts and Simulations
When clicking an editable cell within the simulation table, whether you made a change or not, you are presented with the ability to enter an annotation. Annotations can be utilized to document reasons for changes, log execution strategies or add notes for events that may externally influence a forecast. Annotations are saved by row and simulation period. They are also are stamped with the date that the annotation was created. More than one annotation can be saved per cell or row.
Annotations can either be made public or private. If private, only the person that entered the annotation can view it within the table and Executive Summary. Public annotations are available to all users within access to the Forecast.
To save an annotation, enter the annotation and click "Save."
Currently annotations can only be removed going to "Simulation Options" and resetting modified data.
Viewing and Edit an Executive Summaries
To view a summary, next to the "Simulation Options" in the upper corner of the Simulation view, select "View Summary."
Summaries are instantly populated with the simulation title, forecast statistics, and generation details. Forecasted, simulated and current KPI values are also viewable through the forecasted period.
You can edit Executive Summaries by:
1. adding a high-level overview to summarize forecast and simulations contents for future reference, or to be shared with others.
2. adding additional notes in addition to annotations to each forecast period. All annotations previously added in a Forecast or Simulation automatically populated in the period for which they were saved.
